Step 1: Review Our Program

Welcome to Haven for Her Baltimore

Haven for Her Baltimore provides supportive transitional housing for single women. Before beginning the referral process, please take a moment to review our program overview, who we serve, and our home expectations to ensure a good fit.

Step 2: Check Eligibility

To ensure safe and stable placement, participants must meet our basic eligibility guidelines.

Eligibility information can include:


  • Ability to live independently
  • Women ages 18+
  • Reliable income or agency funding
  • No active safety concerns (agencies screen for this)

Step 3: Submit a Referral

We currently accept referrals from partner agencies, case managers, and approved community organizations.

Haven for Her Baltimore does not operate as an emergency or crisis shelter. All placements are referral-based, screened, and scheduled.

  • Case manager name & contact information
  • Preferred move-in date
  • Any safety or support considerations


We respond to standard referrals within 24–48 business hours, and urgent referral calls will be addressed as quickly as possible.

Step 4: Referral Review & Follow-Up

Once we receive a referral, our team will review the information provided to confirm eligibility and room availability. We will then contact the referring case manager to verify details, discuss any immediate needs, and coordinate next steps.


For standard referrals submitted by email, we typically respond within 24–48 business hours.

For urgent referrals received by phone, we will follow up as quickly as possible to support urgent placement needs.

Step 5: Move-In Coordination

If the participant is approved for placement, we will work with the case manager to finalize the move-in plan. This includes:


  • Confirming the move-in date
  • Completing the program agreement
  • Processing the community fee
  • Providing an overview of house guidelines and expectations
  • Preparing the room for arrival


Move-ins are scheduled based on room availability.
